[Asticou] Inn Employees, 1900

Fifteen people (five men, ten women) posing for photograph. Note on back says, "Employees in Inn in 1900..the year the house burned..colored woman is Mary Carr, the pastry cook, who discovered the fire round midnight." Some of the women are wearing aprons, one man wears a chef's hat; others likely worked outside or as a bellhop or host.
