SEAWALL CAMPGROUND
Seawall Campground is one of Acadia National Park's two campgrounds. It
contains four "loops" with a total of 212 sites, plus an Amphitheater in
which evening programs are given throughout the summer season.
The campground takes its name from the natural "sea wall" which forms
much of the coastline in the immediate vicinity. Winter storms pile boulders,
some huge, high up on the shore, forming these walls of stone. The Picnic
Area adjoining the campground is a good place to see this natural formation.
