Two routes described in the 1915 Path Guide "(a) Up Seaside Path to trail on west (with sign) crossing Barr Hill Road to top. (b) by shore road west to private road opposite Congregational Church, (marked The Eyrie) and by trail at entrance to Barr Hill Road. Wide sea views to south; fine mountain views to north from "lookout" ledge at end of short side path. On west at base of cliffs are some "caves." (p 19) From 1901 Seal Harbor VIS 1st An Rpt, "A path was cut through the woods from the Seaside Inn to the top of the hill near the church, which through the courtesy of the owner of the land, Mrs. R. R. Thomas, was much enjoyed by the many who use it." p. 10.
