This trail is decribed in the 1915 Path Guide, as from Seal Harbor..."just Beyond President Eliot's House, then north by a wood lane over Asticou Hill" (p.20). Now termed Eliot Mountain, the trail is shown on recent maps (AMC and Phillips maps). The trail is outside park boundaries and has been maintained by the Northeast Harbor VIS, for many years.
