Eight large aerial view photographs of Cranberry Isles 1940s and later

Eight large color aerial view photographs of Cranberry Isles 1940s from Bob and Nancy Hylander, photographers in Town Hill. No dates, but the statement for reprints giving us permission to reproduce images is dated 2003. Photos ca. 1940s and 1960s-70s and 80s. (We may have digital images of some of these). Mickey Macfarlan noticed that the trees are not cut away down across from his property; he cut the trees in the late 1940s. No tennis court. Photo 070809-A-7 is the Pool on GCI showing Winslow Bunker's now non-existent lobstering structure and dock which is now gone. Lew Stanley's boat yard is gone (disappeared 1978 blizzard). In foregrround on left is the Red House and Haydock house. Looks like gravel pit in photo. Fence around Bunker cemetery is white picket (now chain link). Foundation of Phil's grandfather's house that burned in 1928 is visible. Behind Haydock's house is small building - the Rooster Club. Phil thinks photo dates to 1979-1980. Photo #010613-B-11 Taken same time as another one - Sea Princess at dock (1981-1982ish); bottom of Newman and Gray's house visible, Sea Queen is hauled up; Wesley Bracy's lobster boat moored at dock; no restaurant at B&B dock just offices; tractor on beach. #020915-D-9 is GCI showing the road out to Dog Pt. and two wharves, and Lew Stanley's; Elisha's store is not there. Ada and Charles house is there. Charlene's house is not there, but there are some unidentifiable white specks. Gaile's house is there. Photo D-10 was taken before the Murches bought their property (Mickey). Phil says it's perhaps 1950s. Photo A-3 shows Eversman's dock, and the trees Mickey eventually cut down are still standing. Photo shows Chris Johnston's smaller house (The Barn), so it's ca. 1960s-1970s at least. Photo A-2 does not show Chris Johnston's house, so it's earlier than A3. A-2 shows lots of hardwoods where Spruce trees now stand. Photo C10613-B-10 per Phil: shows Spurling Cove restaurant which closed 1980s; summer time with Sea Princess at B&B dock. Good view of Cranberry House in woods, two docks, store visible. Photo might be 1981-1982. Photo A-12 is of Baker Island late 1970s or early 1980s (Phil). From Bob and Nancy Hylander
