4 X 4 black and white photograph taken from above of small nestling in leaves, may be on ground. Bird still has down on head and back and small dark stripes on wings. Paper attatched to back, “ The great black.backed gull fledglings remained motionless even when the burdock leaves under which they were hiding were turned back exposing them to view.”
