The Bagaduce is an estuary that that flows between Penobscot, Brooksville, Castine, and Penobscot Bay. There are significant protected lands along its shores including the 1,345-acre State-owned Holbrook Island Sanctuary in Brooksville, land trust preserves, and conservation easements on private lands.
